Sign the Petition to Restore Reproductive Rights in Idaho
Matchwood Brewing, Sandpoint
Wednesday, July 9th
6 – 9 pm
What is this initiative?
The Reproductive Freedom & Privacy Act is a citizen-led ballot initiative. That means it’s a law written by citizens who are acting because our legislature has failed to address this critical issue. This is the same process used to pass Medicaid Expansion in 2018.
This initiative will restore the personal liberty to make one’s own reproductive healthcare decisions—including birth control, IVF, regulated abortion access, and more—with their doctor WITHOUT undue government overreach.
Idahoans United for Women & Families is powering this initiative with grassroots volunteers and donors.

Polling in Idaho shows support for reproductive freedom
Polling shows that Idahoans believe government should stay out of private medical decisions. Yet our Legislature continues to ignore the fallout from their disastrous Trigger Law. This initiative is the only avenue we, the citizens of Idaho, have to restore reproductive freedom in our state.
Effects of the “Trigger Law” in Idaho
For nearly 50 years, Idahoans had the personal liberty to make private medical decisions – including regulated access to abortion – with their doctors, not politicians. But Idaho’s trigger abortion ban ended all that.
Since the ban, doctors are leaving the state, our delivery room here in Bonner County has closed, BGH no longer admits minors (because we’ve lost our pediatricians), and everyone across the state is finding it harder to access basic medical care.
Worst of all, women are forced to get sicker, suffer, and risk their lives while they wait for life-saving care.
The Idaho Legislature knows this ban is breaking us, but they refuse to act to fix what they’ve broken.
How do we get it on the ballot?
In order to qualify for the ballot, Idahoans United’s volunteers must gather 70,700 voter signatures in every corner of the state (and in 18 of Idaho’s 35 legislative districts) by April 30, 2026.
That’s why we need YOU to sign the petition, and get your friends and family to sign, too!
If we get it on the ballot in November 2026, and a simple majority of Idaho voters vote YES, this initiative will become law, effectively ending Idaho’s trigger ban and restoring reproductive freedom to Idahoans.

You may have seen these beautiful yard signs around the state. You can pick one up Wednesday at Matchwood, or you can find out how to get one here.
See you Wednesday!
We have a prior commitment Wed. evening from 5:00 to 9:00! Surely there’s an alternative… !?!
