Panel on Safe & Successful Civic Engagement
In light of recent events at the Kootenai County Republican meeting, the Bonner County Democrats have organized this panel to educate people on our rights to free speech at public events. Panel members include Sandpoint Police Chief Cory Coons, local Peacekeeper Eldon Renner, and local attorney Dana Bowes.

SATURDAY MARCH 15
“Ides of Trump” Postcard Writing Event
On March 15th, people from all corners of the world will mail Donald Trump postcards that publicly express our opposition to him. In our vast numbers, we will overwhelm the man with his unpopularity and failure.The goal is to flood the White House with more than a million postcards telling him we oppose him and his agenda.
Join us Saturday afternoon to write postcards. Postcards and postage will be provided. Donations to cover costs are appreciated, but not expected or required.

Town Halls with Idaho State Legislators Jim Woodward and Mark Sauter
Also on Saturday, March 15th, there will be Open Town Halls with District 1 Idaho State Senator Jim Woodward and District 1A Idaho State House of Representatives member Mark Sauter. Times and locations as follows:
Bonners Ferry: 9:30 am at the Bonners Ferry Visitors Center
Sandpoint: Noon at the Sandpoint Veterans of Foreign Wars hall
Priest River: 2:30 at Priest River City Hall.
NOTE: The National 50501 movement is calling for a protest on 3/15. In light of all the events going on this week in our community, however, the local 50501 Organizers are not organizing a formal protest.
If you’d like to protest anywhere, please remember that in the City of Sandpoint, you must stay on public property and you cannot block sidewalks. If you would like to protest someplace other than Sandpoint, please check your local ordinances/requirements.

Thank you for organizing this. My personal opinion is that we need to get our asses out of chairs and out on the streets! The public is sleeping and needs to be woken up!
