Have you seen our Peacekeepers in orange and yellow vests at rallies and marches? They skillfully monitor the crowd, assist people crossing streets, and generally work to ensure that our events are fun and safe for everyone!
Note the Peacekeepers in the photo below:

Would you like to learn how they do it?
Come learn the art and skill of Peacekeeping!
(NOTE: Attending this training does not obligate you to volunteer as a Peacekeeper at any future events. If you simply want to learn effective e-escalation techniques, hands-free escort skills, and how Peacekeepers work to keep us safe, come join us!)

Eldon and Rachel have been training Peacekeepers since 2017. Their workshops have been requested by local and regional organizers across Idaho. They have trained with Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane, the Idaho ACLU, MoveOn, and the Martin Luther King Jr Center for Nonviolence.
FAQ:
- I’ve already been to one of your trainings. Will it be the same? Every training is unique because it is steered by the questions and concerns of participants. We think there is value in attending multiple trainings and continuing to connect with and learn from each other.
- I attended a similar training through another group. Should I still attend? We’d love to have you! When you connect with local peacekeepers your expertise can be shared and built upon. However, you can still be a peacekeeper with us if you have previously attended a similar training.
- What if I can only attend part of the training? You are welcome to leave early or come late as your schedule allows. We do not do these trainings very often and want to accommodate you as best we can.
- Will the training be available to stream or as a video to watch later? Please let us know if you would like to stream the training live or watch the training later and we will do our best to accommodate you.
- Can I be a peacekeeper if I have never attended your training? We recommend you attend a peacekeeper training through us, the North Idaho Peacekeepers Alliance, or PJALS (Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane) before you volunteer to peace-keep. We have a video version of the training we can share with you if you’re unable to attend in person.
More Questions? Come to the training and we will answer them!
See you there!
