Our biggest rally yet!

More than 1,200 people came out to rally for our democracy!

Our final count for Saturday’s NO KINGS rally was more than 1,200!
(The Bee reported a number from earlier in the rally).

Sandpoint’s rally was one of more than 2,700 across the United States that included more than 7 million people turning out to rally for our democracy — an exponential growth from the 5 million people who turned out on June 14th!

And that’s not even counting rallies in Ireland, Switzerland, Spain, the UK, and other countries around the world!

Across the country, our NO KINGS rallies were peaceful gatherings. Here in Sandpoint, the Sandpoint Police were once again present (and much appreciated!). This time, we had no armed counter-protestors, and far more enthusiasm from people driving by!

Food Drive!

Once again, thank you to Volunteer Jackie, who organizes our food drives!

From Jackie:

“I wanted to do a warm shout out to all those who donated food items to the food bank as well as cash donations. We had 466 pounds delivered to the food bank together with $102.23 in cash!”

The Community Forum was a huge success!

The groups with tables at the forum reported excellent discussions!

IDUWF gathered more than 300 signatures!

Idaho Moms talked to a number of people about the upcoming Sandpoint City vote for the Sewer Bond!
(If you are a Sandpoint resident, get more information about this issue at https://idahomoms7b.com/)

And other groups were able to hand out information and buttons, and connect with local people!

THANK YOU!

Thank to the Peacekeepers for once again ensuring a safe, peaceful event!

Thank you to the Sandpoint Police Department for helping to protect our 1st Amendment rights!

Thank you to all the local groups who participated in the Community Forum!

And most of all, thank you to everyone who came out to rally to protect our democracy!
Thank you for your signs, your costumes, and your enthusiasm!

We will keep you posted on the next event as soon as we have a date. See you then!
